Splicing Instructions

Cut to length: The storage PU round belt must be cut to the correct length based on the equipment's specifications.

Heat both ends: Using a lighter or heat source, evenly heat both ends of the round belt until they are lightly melted.

Join and bond: While hot, connect the ends as quickly as possible "and with professional tools (e.g., crimping pliers)" and bond together to make a secure bond.

Cool and set: Allow to cool and set; make sure the joint is completely cured.

Notes

Core-less round belts: Splice tensile strength is near that of the original belt, acceptable for general transmission requirements.

Round belts with core: The core cannot be spliced, and the joint tensile strength will be weaker. Try to avoid using in high tension situations when feasible.

Heating evenly: Localised overheating will cause the material to deform or lose strength.
